BUILD GUIDE
How to build it.
A practical guide to recreating this workflow in n8n.
- 01
Choose the trigger
Start with how invoice data arrives — a form, an email attachment, a webhook, or a new row in Google Sheets.
- 02
Read the invoice information
Extract fields such as invoice number, client, amount and due date, using PDF extraction and an AI step if the data is unstructured.
- 03
Validate the data
Add IF or Code nodes to check required fields and correct formats, and route problems to a review step.
- 04
Update the records
Write the cleaned data to Google Sheets or an accounting tool through its API.
- 05
Send or store the result
Email the invoice or confirmation, or save the file to a storage folder.
- 06
Test with sample invoices
Run several different invoices through the workflow before activating it. (A detailed guide for this project is coming soon.)
